Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information may be handled when you visit Video Workflow Studio at https://screnstup.com or send a message to the published contact address.

Effective date and last update: October 26, 2026

Who operates this site

This website is operated under the public brand Video Workflow Studio. It is an independent educational resource about screen recording, demo videos, and Mac-based video workflows. It is not the developer of Screen Studio and does not provide official product support. The public contact address is [email protected].

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the public pages on https://screnstup.com and to email sent to [email protected]. It does not apply to third-party websites that we link to, including official software documentation.

If analytics, advertising, or other tools are added, this policy will be reviewed and revised to describe how those tools actually work.

What this site does and does not do

The public site is a static collection of educational pages. It does not create accounts, accept payments, take orders, or include a contact form. It does not run first-party analytics, advertising pixels, or login systems in the published HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

Information that may be processed when you visit

The site runs on a virtual private server (VPS) and is served by Nginx. Loading a page sends a request to that server. Nginx or other software on the VPS may write ordinary access logs. Those records can include:

  • The requested URL
  • Date and time of the request
  • IP address
  • Browser user agent and similar technical headers
  • Referrer URL, if the browser sends one

We do not claim that the VPS stores no request data, and we do not claim that IP addresses are never written to logs. Those records, if they exist, come from the server that answers the request, not from a form on this site. This policy does not describe a confirmed log format or retention period, because those server settings have not been independently reviewed here.

Information you send by email

If you write to [email protected], you choose what to send. A typical message includes your email address, the subject line, the message body, and any attachments. Mail to that address is handled by the site operator’s own mail server, which may also store delivery metadata such as timestamps.

Use that address for questions about site materials, suggestions, error reports, and privacy requests. Do not send passwords, license keys, or other credentials.

How that information is used

Information described above may be used to:

  • Deliver the requested pages
  • Keep the site available and diagnose publishing problems
  • Read and respond to messages you send
  • Correct errors or improve the published guides when a message makes that necessary

The site does not use visitor data to build marketing lists, show personalized ads, or sell access to a user database. That describes how these pages are built. It is not a statement about every log or cookie setting on the VPS.

How the site is hosted

The public pages are stored on the operator’s VPS and served by Nginx. Messages sent to [email protected] are received and stored on the operator’s own mail server.

Other systems can still handle information as part of ordinary internet delivery. That can include the data-center network that houses the VPS and the mail servers that transmit a message before it arrives. This policy does not claim that no third party can see request data or email in transit. It also does not describe a CDN; none has been confirmed.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site files do not set first-party cookies. The JavaScript only opens and closes the navigation menu. It does not write cookies, local storage, or session storage.

The pages do not load third-party analytics, advertising, or social widgets. Fonts are served from the system font stack. Images and styles are local files.

Software on the VPS, including Nginx, may still set a cookie or similar identifier for security or traffic management. This policy does not say that the server environment is cookie-free. If the site later sets first-party cookies or adds a tracking tool, this policy will be reviewed and updated to describe how those tools actually work. A separate Cookie Policy is not published because the site files themselves do not use cookies.

How long information is kept

Server access logs, if created, are retained according to the settings on the VPS. This policy does not state a number of days because that period has not been independently confirmed.

Email is kept as long as it is needed to understand a request, reply, or document a content correction. We do not claim that messages are deleted automatically after a fixed period.

If you ask us to delete a message you sent, we will remove copies we can control on the mail server, unless a record has to be kept to complete a correction already in progress or to address misuse of the site. Server logs, if retained on the VPS, may not be available as a file that identifies one visitor.

Data protection measures

The public site is a set of static files on the VPS. Access to update those files and to read mail on the contact server is limited to the people who operate the site. Ordinary account and mailbox access controls apply.

We do not claim that information sent over the internet is completely secure, and we do not promise that no unauthorized person can ever reach a mailbox or a server log. Email in particular can be copied by the systems that deliver it.

Privacy requests

To ask a question about this policy, request access to a message you sent, or ask us to delete a message we can control, write to [email protected]. Include enough detail for us to find the relevant correspondence. We will respond as reasonably possible.

We may not be able to fulfill a request that requires reconstructing raw server logs that were not retained or that cannot be isolated to one visitor.

Children

The guides are written for a general adult audience interested in professional screen recording. The site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Links to other websites

Some pages link to official third-party documentation, including the Screen Studio website. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Following a link leaves https://screnstup.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the site, the VPS, or the mail server setup changes. The date at the top of the page shows the current revision. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies to later visits and later messages.
